You have reached my acedemic website. Up to 2017 I worked as associate
professor at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, UK and before as
group
leader at
the
University of Göttingen, Germany. In both positions, I developed
instrumentation and methods to study problems in life science. I am
still involved in scientific research and education.
Since then, I have moved back to Germany. First at
SmarAct GmbH,
where I was involved in the development of the
Picoscale Vibrometer, an
instrument that employs interferometry with an IR laser to characterize
MEMS and other micromechanical devices. Since 2021, I am at
Hensoldt Optronics
in Wetzlar where I am leading the Sights Engineering department.
